Cakes for the Community: How It Works

With the intention to celebrate more of our lesser-recognized (but no less worthy) successes, we’ve started Cakes for the Community — a program where we gift a free cake to someone who’s done something hard or something meaningful. There are no requirements; if you think it's deserving of a cake, it is!

Here’s how it works:
  1. Nominate Someone Special
    Know someone who should get a "you did a hard thing" cake? Fill out a short nomination form below to enter their info.
  2. Donations roll in, and a recipient is selected!
    As soon as we have enough donations to gift another cake, a new recipient will be randomly selected. Cakes will be given out as frequently as donations allow for.
  3. We Deliver the Surprise
    We contact the nominee to arrange the cake delivery or pickup.

    You can nominate any Astorian! Hard things can seem big or small, and always count if you think they count. Please provide information below for someone who you think deserves a cake.
